PRODUCTION AT ALGRAM

Olympus Algram manufactures both disposable and reusable medical devices to facilitate and support therapeutic and flushing solutions. Our injection moulding centre has a range of presses from 50 up to 500 tonnes which give us the capability to manufacture high technology plastic components in a variety of polymers.

As well as the ability to mould polymer grades such as Nylon, ABS and Polycarbonate, our mould shop personnel have gained many years of experience processing advanced engineering thermoplastics such as PPSU, PEEK, PEI and reinforced resins.

Injection moulding is at the core of what we do and great importance is placed on adding value to moulded components within our class 7 clean room environment. With both cleanroom and non-cleanroom production capacity, we can provide dedicated medical device manufacture.

This includes secondary operations such as ultrasonic welding, testing, manual assembly, packaging, laser marking and labelling. We have bespoke cleanrooms tailored for specific operations and are able to produce sterile barrier solutions in either Tyvek or BOPP film using our form, fill and seal packaging machines.

All production steps are carried out directly within the Plymouth site to enable us to respond to orders quickly and flexibly, whilst at the same time ensuring the highest level of quality is achieved.
