Plymouth-based Algram Group is celebrating its 40th anniversary in manufacturing

On the 19th July 2008, Algram chose to mark the year of their 40th anniversary by joining a picnic in the park. This annual Jazz Festival is organised by the Plymouth Jazz Club in association with The National Trust and Plymouth City Arts department.

A warm welcome was extended to all Algram employees who attended the event and they enjoyed good jazz music provided by traditional-jazz acts John Shillitoís Select Six, and Dave Stradwickís Sussex Jazz Kings, which was played outdoors on the lawns of historic Saltram House

Food was provided by a local restaurateur and the selected theme was Moroccan, it gave employees the opportunity to relax with their families and to enjoy the coolest of summer sounds....at the atmospheric al fresco Plympton venue.

 

'Plymouth Challenge 2008'

The South West Manufacturing Advisory Service has crowned Algram the winner of the 'Plymouth Challenge 2008', a new competition which pitted city manufacturers against each other.
